Guidelines

RC transfer must be applied within 14 days (same RTO) or 45 days (different RTO) from the date of sale

Ensure all dues, challans, and taxes are cleared before applying

Both buyer and seller details must be accurate and verifiable

Vehicle must have valid insurance and PUC

Form 29 (Notice of Transfer of Ownership)

Form 30 (Application for Transfer of Ownership)

Original Registration Certificate (RC)

Valid Insurance Certificate

Valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate

Address proof of the buyer

Identity proof of buyer and seller

NOC from original RTO (for inter-state transfer)

Loan closure NOC (if vehicle was under hypothecation)

Death certificate & legal heir documents (in case of inheritance)
